4ball
This is the story of
4 men who challenge themselves and the game of golf every week, rain or shine. Their story is repeated up and down the country
on golf courses of all kinds, they are the backbone of the game.
These are the guys who will be or who have been Captain of their club. They will be there when referees are needed
for top matches. They spend money in the club bar and sometimes in the pro-shop. They are fundamental to the game and we salute
them.
Our famous 4 Ball
are Bert, Jack, Fred and Mick. They are the Sunday morning 4 ball. They have been playing together for the last 40 years.

The
4ball plays on the beautiful L'Ancresse Golf Course on the Island of Guernsey in the
Channel Islands. It is a par 70, 18 hole, links style golf course, which is well maintained despite sitting on a coastal sand
base. The main obstacle on the course is the gorse and in some areas the beach is within easy reach. There are also drainage
ditches, a pond and numerous historical monuments from 5,000 year old dolmens to Napoleonic Defences and Second World War
bunkers.
